In Gait of Freedom, Dane Howard captures a quiet American parable at day’s end. A cowboy leads his horse through a weathered gate as the flag stirs in the dusk. The title’s play on gait and gate reflects movement and passage, freedom and boundary. Bathed in rose and amber light, the scene becomes a meditation on endurance and the measured pace of a nation still learning the weight of its own freedom.
